The PredictSuperFam-PB is a superfamily recognition server based on Protein Blocks. The protein Blocks are one of the Structural Alphabets used to describe regions of the protein backbone. Here, we present a protein superfamily recognition method based on Protein Blocks for the annotation of twilight zone sequences.

In our method, we align the predicted Protein Blocks of a query amino acid sequence with a library of assigned Protein Blocks of 1654 known superfamily representatives using the local pair-wise alignment.
